Pubs on 9 Bus Line

This line is operated by King County Transit

One of the best pubs in Seattle's diverse south end district of Columbia City.

Tasting room and small brewery in South Seattle (Columbia City). No kitchen, but food may be brought in.

Roomy taproom and brewery serving south Seattle and nearby watering holes with house brews. Formerly Spinnaker Bay Brewing, but changed hands after owner became ill and decided to exit the brewing business, taken over by NW Peaks Brewing.

Huge beer-hall of a brewpub with unusual naming that eschews style conventions for the house beers (inviting drinkers to guess the style instead), lots of seating, food trucks, and the most interesting restroom setup in town. That latter feature is one of the things most mentioned here.

Nanobrewery with taproom in popular, walkable urban neighborhood.

Good-quality gastropub in Capitol Hill area with very good beer selection and cocktails.

Formerly Von Trapp's. A Seattle variation on the German beer hall theme, which means German eats, a mix of German and local craft beers, and bocce ball courts.

Slow Boat Tavern A Don top pick  Don Honorable Mention WiFi available21 or older only. New entry in the Guide in 2016. Regularly has Seattle brewed beers

Ken Provost departed north Seattle's Uber to open this little spot, and the taps boast one of the most inspired - some would say curated - selections in town. The Rainier tap is for more than a cheap beer: ask for an Old Man Provost to find out why. A must-visit.

Big but not too big, and a neighborhood watering hole that doubles as a concept ready to be duplicated elsewhere: not a surprise, given that this comes from the same people who gave the region its two Taphouse Grill 160-tap restaurants. STOUT dials it back to 20 drafts, lots of bottled beers, and a straight-up pub food menu. Worth a stop on a Capitol Hill pub crawl.

Utterly un-fancy corner local with Belgian-focused tap selection, featuring a range of Belgian imports and American-brewed Belgian-inspired brews. Focus here is on the beer: no kitchen, no flashy decor, just a simple Belgian-style beer café.
