Actually just north of downtown in the South Lake Union (Cascade) district, this sister to the Prost! bars follows a similar pattern: all-German beer selection, with booze and food, but here, the food comes from a full kitchen.

One-of-its kind pub, serving some of the best casked ales in the Pacific Northwest - certainly the most authentic. Machine House never did beers the easy way, opting for English-style cask ales in a world of CO2-keg craft brews. That this pub is even open is an accomplishment. It's a simple, relatively unadorned single-room beer bar, and the main attraction are those handpumps rising proudly behind the bar. Nine of them. This is a do-not-miss.
After struggling under the Mollusk name, complete with menu revamps and repeated promotions and alterations to the business model, Mollusk's restaurant and bar split off from the brewing business to become the professionally owned and managed Dexter Brewhouse, featuring Mollusk beers on tap, and a solid range of pub food from the enourmous kitchen. Let's hope it prospers in this current incarnation. Note: actual location is South Lake Union, on other side of Aurora Ave N from Queen Anne.
In just a few years, Naked City has become one of Seattle's most well-regarded and popular craft breweries, and it's an excellent pub too, with a healthy mix of house and 'guest' taps. A must-visit when in Seattle. 28 taps include 4 ciders.
Nifty new Belltown gastropub, just a few minutes walk from the excellent TeKu Tavern. The tap selection and food menu here is first-rate, and No Anchor has rapidly gained an excellent reputation. Patio in front for outdoor drinking too.

Challenging to pronounce correctly (looks like "obek" but pronounced "obetz"), this is a newer Ballard Brewery, conveniently situated between Stoup and Rueben's taprooms. Broadly themed after Czech lagers, the variety on offer is much wider than that. Big taproom, beer garden, friendly owners and bar staff.
Popular newer brewpub in downtown Seattle, very nearby to Pike Place Market and a short walk away from the excellent Clouburst Brewing taproom. Super popular with everyone, locals and tourists alike, with wide range of house beers. Beers can be packaged in crowlers to take away, too.

Simple no-frills taproom with big selection of crowd-pleasing beers brewed on-premises. Taproom moved to 14th NW location in May 2015, bigger with more seating and roomy beer deck in front. Rambling two-level pub focused on very local beers from Seattle and nearby. One of the few around that still will pour Redhook beers. Ideally located a short walk from the Pike Place Market, in the heart of touristland. Affiliated with Seattle brewery touring company Road Dog Tours.
Every so often, a new pub or restaurant comes along that handily exceeds expectations. Such is the case with the Shambles, which combines craft beer, craft cocktails, and gastropub food elevated to some of the highest levels in town. This one's a must-visit.
Ken Provost departed north Seattle's Uber to open this little spot, and the taps boast one of the most inspired - some would say curated - selections in town. The Rainier tap is for more than a cheap beer: ask for an Old Man Provost to find out why. A must-visit.

So shiny, much new. Big, open, roomy Denny Regrade pub with a superb draft beer list, visible on big display screens behind the bar. No kitchen, so ordering in from nearby eateries is encouraged.
Seattle offshoot of the venerable San Francisco pub. There's an on-line beer menu for those who want to see what's on. There's also liquor and a full kitchen. Don't plan on bringing the kids.
